Research

Our major goal is the design and the rational development of innovative therapeutic and prophylactic approaches against Apicomplexan protozoa parasites.In particular, we focus on the parasites responsible for major diseases in animal and human health.
Our model is Toxoplasma gondii  parasite, the causative agent of toxoplasmosis, valuable model for the acquisition of new understanding of the biology of Apicomplexa.
In order to design and develop innovative prophylactic approaches, we are interested to:
> define cellular and molecular players of the immune response during vaccination and infection;
> pilot and/or amplify the desired immune response via selective targeting and efficient delivery of antigens to key cells of immune response.
